About 75 minutes

Your first visit

We begin with a conversation. Then you rest on a padded table, with or without needles, and we finish with a plan. Before you leave you know what we did and what we suggest next, and you decide whether to come back.

Wear or bring

  • Loose clothing that rolls up at the knee and elbow

  • A light meal beforehand

  • A list of your medicines and supplements

  • Your questions, and anything you would like us to skip

The usual plan

The first five visits

What we usually suggest, never a promise. Your plan will be your own.

  • 01

    One

A long talk, a first treatment, and ear seeds or acupressure if you would rather not have needles.

  • 02

    Two

A week later. What changed, what did not, and what to adjust.

  • 03

    Three

Time the visits around exams, lab hours or your shifts. Learn a few points to press.

  • 04

    Four

Space the visits out if things have settled.

  • 05

    Five

Look back together and decide whether to keep going, pause or come only in busy weeks.

  • 06

    After that

Some people come around the busy weeks of the term, some stop, and some pause and return.

Before you come

Tell us first

Say so when you book and again in the room, so we can change the plan or skip a step.

  • Pregnancy

Tell us if you are pregnant or trying to conceive.

  • Blood thinners

Or a bleeding disorder, or easy bruising.

  • A pacemaker

Or another implanted device. We skip electrical stimulation.

  • Lymph node removal

On either side. We avoid that arm.

  • Needle fear

We can start with ear seeds or acupressure, or go slowly.

  • Anything else

Skin that reacts to tape, a recent injury, or a medicine that is new.
