How the practice runs
Short and plain. Ask us if anything is unclear.
Changing a visit
Please tell us a day ahead if you can. Call, or use the form, and we will find another time. If a class or a shift changes at the last minute, call us anyway.
Clean needles and their risks
Every needle is sterile, used once and discarded in a sharps container. We wash our hands before each treatment and clean the table between visits. Needling can cause a little soreness, a small bruise or, rarely, dizziness or fainting. Rarer risks include infection and a needle touching something it should not. Lucrecia explains the risks before the first needle and answers your questions.
Medicines and supplements
Bring a list of everything you take, including supplements. Acupuncture does not change what your prescriber has asked you to take, and we will not ask you to stop a medicine. We do not sell herbs.
Seeing someone else
Acupuncture works alongside your doctor's care, never in place of it. If something sounds like it needs a doctor, we will say so. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), any time. In an emergency, call 911.
Access
The practice is on the second floor, reached by an elevator. Tell us if you need a longer visit, a chair instead of the table, or a quiet time of day, and we will plan for it.
Your records
We keep your records private and share them only as the law allows. You can ask for a copy at any visit.
